STEP DOWN: Ryback, Ziggler & Rowan
All roads lead back to John Cena.
Prior to Survivor Series, this set of guys looked stronger than they ever had before. Post-Survivor Series, Dolph Ziggler looked like a true main event player. And then…they fired all of them, and made JOHN CENA fight for their jobs. There’s nothing more emasculating than another man fighting for your meal ticket.
I give props to Ryback for a decent match on Raw, and for getting a decent pop from the crowd. He seems to be the only one not totally trashed by this awful program.
It’s like WWE forgot how to give babyfaces the big payoff moments. Booking 101 says Dolph Ziggler should have fought for his own job back. That’s what builds momentum. Imagine if John Cena had to beat Triple H at WrestleMania XXX in order for Daniel Bryan to get his title match.
No. That’s stupid. That doesn’t make any sense. Bryan doesn’t get ANY rub off that. Well…now you understand my frustration for how WWE handled this trio of stars after Survivor Series.
