It’s Time To Give Up on The New Day
The time has come. It is not good and does not connect with the crowd whatsoever. The clapping has stopped. The cheering has stopped. I wonder why WWE thinks The New Day is a good idea. Cesaro and Kidd are really good, to the point where I think they need to be pushed to the top of the Tag Team Division. You can see the HUGE difference in believability and skill. There is no doubt that Kofi, Woods and Big E are good in their own right, but the gimmick is just brutal.
Also, if you don’t think New Day won because of MLK Day, you are insane. Not saying it is wrong at all, but that had something to do with it. At this point, a Tag Team Turmoil will most likely take place on the grand stage.
Raw Reunion With Legendary Tag Teams
Lets list these legendary tag teams we see:
1. NWO Outsiders
2. New Age Outlaws
3. APA
As a fan of the Attitude Era, I really enjoyed this segment and was timed perfectly. The Ascension comes out and gets a little beating from these legends. I liked seeing JBL on the mic. I think he was ahead of his time and could thrive in the WWE as an active wrestler in this era.
Billy Gunn looks like he is still in excellent shape. It was a nice nostalgia moment that did not take up too much time. WWE did a good job at making The Ascension feel important. Wouldn’t it have felt bigger if they beat a legit tag team? What about if they were champions?
