Royal Rumble Legends Panel
Byron Saxton introduces Flair, Hogan and Michaels. Saxton asks if the Royal Rumble win was the greatest of his career. They show pictures and Flair takes a trip down memory lane. Michaels is asked about what he remembers and Shawn Michaels calls in the “epitome of what’s in the future.” Hogan talks about his memories in the Royal Rumble and he talks about the competition and that each man was a super talent. Shawn Michaels says Bray Wyatt is going to win and Hogan talks about how Hogan is pushing him around.
They joke around and Hulk Hogan picks Daniel Bryan to win the Royal Rumble. Ric Flair picks Dean Ambrose and Big Show’s music hits. Big Show talks about what he has done to Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels. Big Show says that nobody will beat him and they need to out of his ring. Flair asks if Big Show is done and he rips his jacket off. He chops Show and punches him. Show hits a Knockout Punch and blames the WWE Universe. Roman Reigns’ music hits and here he comes. Big Show tells Reigns to get out of the ring. Reigns ends up clothes lining him out of the ring. Reigns stands tall and Show retreats.
Another solid segment on WWE Raw, as we spotlight the man who is likely to win the WWE Royal Rumble. Roman Reigns eliminates Big Show by himself tonight and I can easily see these two men being in the Final Four. Roman Reigns looks stronger and stronger each week. Reigns MUST ELIMINATE SHOW BY HIMSELF. Hogan, Michaels and Flair did a good job at keeping it interesting, even though it was predictable.
Dean Ambrose defeated Bad News Barrett
Dean Ambrose works on Barrett early with some kicks and then chops to his chest. Ambrose connects with a flying elbow and then stomps him in the stomach. Barrett hits him with a side suplex and then Raw heads to a commercial break. Barrett hits a few chops and then connects with a big kick to Dean’s stomach. Ambrose fires back with a neckbreaker. Ambrose hits another clothesline and then heads to the top. Barrett tries to hit Wasteland, but Ambrose hits Dirty Deeds and picks up the win.
Ambrose picks up the win over the IC Champion. I could have predicted this from a mile away. I wanted to see more happen in this match. It seemed like they really were not getting into their full arsenal of moves, which hurt the pace and chemistry of the match. It was average at best.
