#1 – If The Rock Counts to Three
Heading into No Mercy, Triple H was set to face the British Bulldog for the WWF Championship on an episode of Smackdown. With the #1 contender “Stone Cold” Steve Austin watching backstage, The Rock was named the special guest referee for this big match.
For several minutes Rock completely ignored the match, joining the commentary team, insulting Jerry Lawler, and frustrating both the competitors. In a classic moment, Triple H hit his signature Pedigree on his challenger, and instead of making the count, the Great One stood in the ring and gave them a sarcastic clap. He then hit the Game with the Rock Bottom, grabbed a microphone, and delivered one of the best lines of his career…
