The first ever Tabbles, Ladders and Chairs match in WWE history, between arguably the three greatest tag teams of all time. I love how simple, and yet how ridiculously extreme the situation surrounding this match was. The Dudley Boyz were famous for putting people through tables, The Hardy Boyz loved climbing ladders, and Edge & Christian kept beating people up with steel chairs – WHY NOT PUT THEM ALL TOGETHER AND SEE WHO DIES FIRST!?
These three teams would go on to have a lot of ladder matches, a lot of table matches, and even another TLC match at WrestleMania X-Seven, but this match took their first collision at WrestleMania 2000 and elevated it to a totally different level of violence and mayhem. It was the birth of TLC, which now has its own PPV and a list of excellent matches over the last decade-plus. If it weren’t for this match, the Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk TLC we mentioned earlier wouldn’t have even been possible!
