#1 – RIP Ultimate Warrior
The shocking death of the Ultimate Warrior will go down as the biggest moment of 2014. Not the "best" moment, mind you, just the one that left the most impact on us. In the same week that the Undertaker's streak came to an end – shocking the world – it almost seemed so silly when the news broke about Warrior. The emotions I had experienced at WrestleMania, while real enough at the time, seemed petty and meaningless.
Within 72 hours Warrior returned to the WWE family, reconciled with Vince McMahon, boldly accepted entrance into the Hall of Fame, appeared on stage at WrestleMania 30, made a surprise visit to Monday Night Raw, and was pronounced dead of a heart attack.
If you're going to go out, I can't imagine a more "perfect" was to go than forgiving and being forgiven of past transgressions, honored for a lifetime of achievement, and celebrated by my peers and million of fans around the globe.
WWE put together an amazing series called Warrior Week that they aired on the WWE Network that followed him and his family throughout WrestleMania weekend. It's one of the hardest, but also one of the best and most beautiful things I've seen. Check it out. And long live the Ultimate Warrior.
