#5 – AJ Styles
I was one of the few people that was actually GLAD to see AJ Styles leave Impact Wrestling. Yeah, he helped found the company. Of course, he carried them on his back and helped put TNA on the map all those years ago. Yes, he's one of the best talents they've ever had and the TNA product lost a legend that day.
Ric Flair left the NWA. So did a LOT of people. Hulk Hogan went to WCW for crying out loud. Again, so did a LOT of people. When the money dries up, or you've run every angle you can, with every opponent you can, it's time to move on. If you ask me, AJ stayed in TNA for too long.
Right now the national and international scene is completely different than when AJ started in Ring of Honor. It's a whole new ball game, with fresh match-ups and interesting stories we've never seen before. At least, not out of him. How many times do we need to see Styles vs. Bully, Roode, Daniels, and Hardy? If I have to watch another AJ vs. Dixie Carter story, I might actually be done with wrestling altogether. NO THANK YOU!
#4 – The Bullet Club
Quite recently it was announced that AJ had signed a contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling. He then made his first appearance, aligning himself with the Bullet Club – Japan's biggest faction in years – and has since become one of the few Americas to ever win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. A title he will be defending next week at ROH "War of the Worlds".
The Bullet Club is the coolest faction that wrestling has seen since… Evolution? Maybe? I might even skip over them and say DX. They are that good. The club was founded by former champion Prince Devitt, who recently left the company and – rumor has it – is on his way to WWE. It's a long story with too many angles to put in this article, but they are COOL. Sort of like an NWO-Shield hybrid.
The current version of the Bullet Club consists of the Young Bucks as IWGP Jr., ROH and PWG tag champions, AJ Styles as the IWGP Champion, Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson as IWGP tag champions, Bad Luck Fale, Yijiro Takahashi, and Tama Tonga, the son of the great Meng. Dominance is an understatement.
