Other Wrestling News
Apparently Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson wants to be a James Bond villian, like his grandfather before him. Bad news for Dwayne, however, as the untitled Bond 24 has both Benedict Cumberbatch and Oscar nominated Chiwetel Ejiofor circling the role for lead bad guy. He may have to wait for Bound 25 in three of four years – there's no way an actor of his pay grade would even be considered for a lowly grunt role.
Ring of Honor had some major breaking news this week, as the company announced their debut on pay-per-view, set for June 22nd. I talked to a friend inside ROH, who mentioned they are working to increase production of the show to look their absolute best when they make their way to DirecTV, Comcast and all major PPV providers.
In other major news for up-and-coming wrestling promotions, Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling announced their partnership with a racing car, and with former Biggest Loser producer Dave Broome. Looks like things are picking up steam fast for GFW, who should be making many major announcements about their future in the coming months.
