#8 – Shane Douglas
Shane Douglas showed up in both WWE, TNA and WCW on several occasions, even winning the Intercontinental Championship, but it was in ECW where he won four World Championships and really made his mark as a cornerstone of the extreme foundation.
Prior to becoming the outrageous hardcore promotion that ECW would become famous for, those letters stood for Eastern Championship Wrestling, at one time a part of the NWA. However, in a power play to separate themselves from old school mentality and launch a new cultural phenomenon, Paul Heyman and Tod Gordon seceded from the union and booked Shane Douglas to throw down the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, announcing Extreme Championship Wrestling and the ECW World Championship as the "last real world championship in professional wrestling."
