The Three Main Events
TLC II featured Edge and Christian winning the titles from the Dudley Boys and The Hardy's. Talk about a spectacular match. This would have been the best match of the night at many other WrestleMania's. The spear from Edge to Jeff was a moment that will live in our minds. Spot after spot, table after table, and bodies lying all over the arena gave the crowd the best Ladder Match in WrestleMania history. This could be argued as the best Ladder Match in WWE history. The skill set that was portrayed here showed that all six men were special in their own ways.
Triple H lost to The Undertaker in a downright fight. From heading into the crowd, fighting on a riser and a chokeslam that floored The Game, this was a match and a feud that was perfect for both guys. Triple H and Taker gave us an incredible match that would only be topped twice more in even more epic feuds 10 and 11 years later. It had no rules and that was why it was so perfect. It felt like a fight, not a wrestling match.
The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin tore the house down to end the night. This was, what some people believe, as the end of the greatest Era in wrestling. The Attitude Era ended with a simple handshake between Austin and McMahon. Who in the hell would have thought this could ever happen? After years of wars between the two, Austin ended the night turning heel. Although the heel turn was never executed properly, Austin shook hands with the one man that created him. Austin and McMahon joined forces and shocked the world. I loved the end of this because it was so humanly disturbing. Austin and Vince should have never been friends, never been partners in crime. This helped The Rock get even bigger and better, as well as helping Austin find that intense side once more. This ended the greatest WrestleMania as one of the greatest matches ever.
