Stars in Progress: Official WWE WrestleMania 30 Preview & Predictions

daniel bryanThe Main Event WWE World Title Match

Poor Orton and Batista — they have really been on the short end of the stick with this whole ordeal. Batista's return has been nearly ruined — thank GOD for the quick decision to turn him heel — and Orton's entire title run has been under heavy scrutiny.

Quick aside: I actually watched the WrestleMania 30 press conference on the Network and Batista completely stole the show. He was authentic, clever, and absolutely hilarious. I wish WWE would allow him to showcase that side of his personality more on television. He'd be a hard guy to NOT like if they did.

In terms of the actual wrestling, this match could go either way for me. I'm not expecting too much, so if I end up getting it, it will just be a bonus.

I assume I speak for most everyone when I say the conclusion is all that I'm waiting for this Sunday. How will WrestleMania go off the air? Will it be Daniel Bryan on top of the world, with approx. 80k fans chanting "YES! YES! YES!"? Or will WWE swerve us with Batista, Triple H, or dare I say Orton holding the title with a defenseless Bryan laid out on the canvas?

Ok..so Orton, not a chance, but the other two…?

If you think WrestleMania 30's main event is a foregone conclusion, you apparently haven't been watching WWE for long. While I honestly do expect Daniel Bryan to reach that proverbial mountain top this Sunday, it would not shock me one bit if WWE decides to drag this out further. If, for no other eason, than it's easier.

Putting the title on Daniel Bryan isn't hard. It's what happens AFTER you do that is hard. Will fans continue to support him at the extreme level they have been once he finally achieves the goal they helped him achieve?

OR..will fans quickly move on to their next flavor of ice cream and drum up an entirely new agenda. We're in a time now where smart fans are becoming more and more the majority. Their reach and influence is undeniable.

Unfortunately, they're easily bored at the same time. What's left to fight for once the battle has been won?

I'm hoping Daniel Bryan's success can sustain post-title win. But I'm not yet sold on the fact it will.

I guess we'll find out soon enough, as I do think Bryan wins "the big one" this Sunday. And THAT is when the real journey begins.

My Prediction: Daniel Bryan
