Dolph Ziggler – One Step Down
Concussion or no concussion, I'm not sure things would look much different for Dolph Ziggler than they do now. How dare he say something about "the face of the WWE!?" You thought that was just a wrestling angle?
To make matters worse for Ziggler, the internet wrestling community that once adored him is beginning to turn its back. And trust me, that matters to Dolph. It has to, considering it's the only support he seems to have in the business. Who will sing his praises if not them (besides himself)?
And isn't that what apparently started it in the first place? Dolph was just telling the truth in that interview. He's the best wrestler in company, but that only gets you so far. To truly make it to the top, there's much more involved. Luck. Creative support. Mic ability. Mic time. There's plenty more, but even with those, only one is even controlled by the actual talent. And it could be argued that mic ability isn't even controlled; you either have it, or you don't.
There's nothing holding Ziggler back in terms of talent. He needs the right support and a little luck. With those two things, he could get over as much as the next guy. But it appears he needs to get out of the doghouse first for any of this to even matter.
A piece of advice, Dolph — from a big fan, mind you: keep "Randy Orton" outcha mouf! The path of least resistance might not be the most honorable way up the ladder, but Patha de Orton seems to be a fast track to Shitzville. See: Ken Anderson.
