AJ Styles – One Step Down
Styles will most likely return to TNA at some point in the near future…and he should. I don't blame him for being upset with TNA, but the alternative can't be better. For anyone — Styles, TNA or the fans.
It's been said WWE wants nothing to do with Styles. I believe it, and understand it. The independent circuit will provide Styles a decent living, so it's not a money thing. Styles should simply "want" to use TNA and suck it dry until there's nothing left. He deserves MUCH more from the company he helped build, but he should settle for "the least".
On the flipside, Dixie and TNA should absolutely be ashamed letting Styles go. From what I hear, it wasn't even a case of him asking for more money, but rather, he didn't want to take the drastic pay cut they were offering. Insane.
I'm one of the biggest Styles fans you'll find, and as such, I'd like to watch him on a regular basis. Seeing as how there's only two options for that to happen, and one of those isn't really an option, the selfish side of me wants to see Styles let go of his pride and give in.
Of course, if I were AJ Styles, I wouldn't be handling this whole situation as gracefully as he has done either.
Dammit — I take everything back. He takes a step up. AJ Styles truly is impossible to criticize or dislike.
