Number 5: Triple H
He was awarded this championship when it was introduced in 2002. Triple H has always been associated as one of the best in WWE history. He held this title 5 times from 2002-2005. He owned the championship and was able to build younger stars in the process. He used this title in Evolution and then would fight for it in epic matches against Randy Orton and Batista. With every great champion comes his ability to create even better opponents. The veteran presence he held with the championship tells you how important he was in the history of this title. WWE Championship matches were not as important as matches with Triple H as WHC. He defended it against Michaels, Goldberg and Kane. He fought the vets and the rookies. He was the reason this title was any sort of importance from the beginning.
