Wrestlezone’s Top 10: Worst WWE Pay Per View Names

7. WWE The Bash

In 2009, WWE went away with the traditional "Great American Bash" to simply call it "The Bash." Man, this could easily be higher on the list. The Bash was an event in 2009 when WWE continued to add as many Pay Per Views in a calender year as they could. Sacramento has always been a hotbed for WWE action. They filled the Arco Arena, with close to 12,000 on June 28, 2009 for The Bash. The Bash was a bust. The numbers dropped from the previous year by almost 20,000 buys. Some of the odd matches included Dolph Ziggler vs. The Great Khali, Edge and Jericho vs. The Colons vs. Legacy, John Cena vs. The Miz in a match that lasted less than 10 minutes, and Michelle McCool beating Melina in a borefest. The name was dropped the following year. It seems like WWE does not care about giving us consistently in PPV names for June. You will see when the list continues.
