The Shield's Main Events
Kane defeated Seth Rollins to kick off the night's action on Smackdown. I loved this match for so many reasons. WWE could easily have put Reigns vs. Kane, but went in a different direction. Rollins had a great outing tonight, really connecting on the moves that make him so fun to watch. He is chaotic in the ring, but rarely misses. I thought Rollins' DDT on Kane was a perfect example of the veteran presense Kane has in the ring. He makes any guy look really good, and it worked to perfection with a simple DDT. Kane comes back firing on all cylinders, but Daniel Bryan is the savior. He pushes Rollins off the ropes and Kane hits a chokeslam for the win. It does not harm The Shield, boosts Kane and Bryan, and was easily a very good match from all aspects.

Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan by disqualification. Once again, this was another match that is fun to watch. I still find it amazing that Daniel Bryan's size has not hindered his intensity and progression in the WWE. His running dropkick to the side of the ring is absolutely INCREDIBLE. Sports Entertainment needs to be focused on this guy because he is electric. The crowd loves him, the guys love to work with him, and he has an uncanny ability to work at a fast and clean rate. Reigns hits Kane in the face, which causes Kane to strike back and disqualify Bryan. Bryan and Kane yell at one another. It was a cheap way out and a cheap victory, but that is what heels are supposed to do. The bigger story is the split of Kane and Bryan. How will it happen? I do not think either of them should turn heel. Let Bryan work with Ziggler, while Kane could be used to how Orton and Sheamus have been used over the past handful of months.
Grade: B+
Randy Orton defeated Dean Ambrose via Disqualification when The Shield begin the beatdown of Orton. Ambrose and Orton are great in the ring together. Much like Bryan, Ambrose is very fast and a clean worker. There are no weaknesses in his game. I do think he tends to oversell at times, but that comes with the territory. Orton and Ambrose exhchanged blows back and forth, until Ambrose intelligently snaps Orton's neck on the ropes. Ambrose is the kind of guy that will use all aspects of the ring and arena for his benefit. After a DDT and an RKO in sight, The Shield attack. Out comes Bryan and Kane, in which they clear the ring. Daniel Bryan cleared the ring with his anger and intensity. Once again, Daniel Bryan is the best performer the WWE has. He and The Shield are carrying Smackdown and are making Raw must see shows.
