Wrestlezone’s Top 10: WCW Superstars

8. Scott Steiner

Whether it was being a member of the best tag team in the 90's or revolutionizing himself as a single's superstar, Scott Steiner certainly did his own thing in WCW. He had an incredible talent as sounding like a complete jackass. Some of his success came thanks to The Fabulous Freebirds, who would feud with the Steiners for the Tag Team Championships in the late 80's. After becoming a successful tag team champion, Steiner would go his separate way. He would capture his first WCW United States Championship title in September of 1992. From that, he would spend a few years in WWE, but returned to WCW and feuded with the New World Order. Some of his best feuds included the names of Goldberg, Diamond Dallas Page, and Booker T. He held the TV Title, Tag Titles, United States Championship, and finally the WCW Heavyweight Championship. He was the definition of a work in progress. He started from the bottom, worked his way up, took several years, and finally paid off. He lost the title to Booker T at the very last Nitro. Steiner may have gotten so big in terms of mass, but he always was a guy that had a certain appeal to him. Big Poppa Pump changed with the times, unlike many guys in WCW.
