Jeff HardyThe Main Event

Jeff Hardy defeated Samoa Joe, Magnus, and Kurt Angle in a 4-way match to become the number one contender. First off, Jeff does not get a rematch? I thought it was a clause in every "contract." Anyways, this match had everything you could ask for. Angle was superior in storytelling and selling his injuries outside of the ring. Joe took control of Angle early on and it was clear that Angle is not 100 percent. Magnus and Hardy paired off and exchanged some solid blows until Hardy grabbed the advantage. As Hardy headed to the top, Angle leaped up and hit a belly to belly suplex on him. That was BEAUTIFUL. I love seeing Angle be the big spot type of guy. We know he has the ability to carry a technical match, but this is always a nice treat. TNA is able to use him in an athletic and different way from time to time. Angle locks in the Ankle Lock on Joe, but he throws him into Magnus. Hardy hits a Swanton Bomb on Joe and picks up the win. Even though Joe continues to lose, it was fitting for Hardy. With Angle, he should not lose clean. With Magnus, he still needs to be protected and not suffer a career altering loss on an episode of Impact.

Hardy definitely is their number one guy and for good reason. He sells the merch, has the crowd reaction, and is a guy the fans love to connect with. His artistic abilities inside and outside of the ring are very relatable. He will go against Bully Ray and will most likely be a stipulation match of some sorts. They need to make this personal and already have a history and more pieces to add to the story. I just hope Bully as champion does not mean Hulk comes back and exacts revenge to win the championship. Hogan needs to put his ego aside for good. I do not know if that will happen.
