Number 4: The Undertaker vs. Batista: Wrestlemania 23
Whenever The Undertaker walks into Wrestlemania chasing the title, you will always question if he will win. This may have been the strongest opponent he ever faced and one who was on the cusp of his prime. Batista was a beast, with raw strength and the backing of the crowd. He did not fall into a John Cena category, but should have. Attending the event at Ford Field in Detroit, I was very skeptical how two big monsters would do putting on a match at Wrestlemania. Thankfully, I was dead wrong. Powerful move after powerful move, Batista and Taker put on the best match of the night. They did not slow down the pace for one second and a heavyweight slugfest turned into a gem. You figure that Taker and Batista had a chip on their shoulder by being placed ahead of ECW Originals vs. New Blood, Umaga vs. Bobby Lashley, Melina vs. Ashley, and John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels. It did not matter where they were on the card because they surpassed all the other matches, and was a saving grace in a night that had a few disappointments.
