Number 1: The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels: 25th Anniversary of Wrestlemania
It may go down as one of the best Wrestlemania matches of all time. Shawn Micahels vs. The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 25 was a time where we all thought that he could be beaten, that “The Streak” could finally be broken. Shawn Michaels came into the event ending the career of Ric Flair a year before, and this was another absolute breathtaking contest. A match that should have ended the event would have to settle by stealing the show. Shawn Michaels delivered a Sweet Chin Music multiple times, but tried to used a modified Figure Four to weaken the larger opponent. We saw the real battle from both men throughout the match that lasted about a half hour. On a grand stage, Michaels and Taker exchanged blows, 2 counts, kick outs, and it was Taker catching Michaels off the ropes and planting him with a Tombstone that would seal the deal for an instant classic. This match had EVERYTHING in it, and will go down as the greatest match in the career of The Undertaker. You saw him reach a new level of excellence, a new level of athleticism, and added a famous name to his list on defeats at Wrestlemania.
