Number 2: The Undertaker vs. Triple H: Wrestlemania XXVIII
It was an “End of an Era.” The history of Triple H was already written. You had multiple championships to his name, incredible matches, and even better storylines. He did not have that one career changing win, and this would be the ultimate victory. For months, we were unsure if we wanted a third match between Triple H and The Undertaker. what could they do that they haven’t already done? We saw a fight, we saw a classic single’s match that went to the crowd, so what was left? Well, you added Hell in a Cell, where both men have succeeded in, as well as Shawn Michaels as the special referee. The build was great, but the match was unbelievable. This was the match that told more than one story in 30 minutes. It was like watching the beginning and end of careers and was incredible. My favorite moment was when Michaels hit Sweet Chin Music and Triple H hit the Pedigree only for the Deadman to kick out of. Two counts galore and a match that told you everything you needed to know about The Undertaker’s dominance and Triple H’s desire.
