#2. Brock Lesnar vs Triple H
I just got done saying that Cena vs Rock II doesn't bother me as much as it does others, but I feel the complete opposite about a Lesnar/HHH rematch at WrestleMania. My reasons should be obvious.
First of all, Cena and Rock are much bigger stars (today) than Brock and Hunter. It makes good business sense to try and capitalize on a "Best out of 2 or 3" series between the two biggest stars WWE has to offer.
John Cena is the only full-time guy out of the bunch, so I understand why they wouldn't want his only match against Rock to be a loss.
Furthermore, what does Brock or Hunter, either one, have to gain winning a rematch against the other? And don't say it's for the fans' benefit – I'm not even sure we were that invested in their first match.
This is the problem with Brock Lesnar's limited schedule, although it doesn't have to be a problem at all. When the time off is so long, and so often, the real money is in one-time-only, main event matches with a variety of people. Brock vs Cena, Brock vs Hunter, Brock vs Taker, Brock vs Punk. Brock vs Ryback, even. From one WrestleMania to the next – a full calendar year – you're telling me the most money you can get out of Brock Lesnar is three, maybe four matches, and two of those are with a guy who is more of a management figure now than he is a wrestler? No thanks – not for me.
I wonder if my next "bother" is part of the reason we might just get this match anyway…
