The Stories
Alberto Del Rio and The Big Show continue their feud to kick off the big night. They interrupt Vince McMahon, and I thought it was going to be brutal. I was wrong, as the rub off from Vince and the opening segment did more for them that I thought. Del Rio got a really good reaction from the crowd, and good guy vs. bad guy was quickly established. I can honestly tell you that I like Del Rio's change, so far. It is still early, and I think his feud with Show needs to end. I do not expect Del Rio to be champion for a while, but I have been proven wrong before. He needed this exposure if they wanted him to get over as a face, and it was perfect timing. the confetti was a little lame, and the fighting after was very slow and forced, but the overall exposure is what these two needed. -Antonio Cesaro and The Miz got into a heated exchange after a terrible segment with Miz and Flair. It did not seem genuine to me for Flair. He would not say or do many of the things he did, and it seemed like he was a little TOO excited. The exchange between him and Miz was cheesy, and it just did not get over with the crowd in the way they wanted to. Overall, this was extremely poor decision making to me. Can we have less MizTV and more Miz wrestling? Cesaro did his due dilligence, but it really was a letdown considering these two are fresh with their feud, and the fact that Ric Flair needed to be involved shows you how little faith they currently have in a face Miz.
