Title This: WWE Friday Night Smackdown Reaction 12-7

SheamusThe Main Event

-The beginning of the night saw Booker T make Sheamus and The Big Show sign a no contact clause until WWE TLC. Both men came out, and we got an old fashioned contract signing. This was simply the same song and dance, but Sheamus and Big Show certainly did all they could to make it different. This feud has been all about physicality, whether it has been a chair or their fists. I think this is a good idea because if they continue to fight week after week, the fans will get sick of it. I wanted fighting to start the feud, and now they need to do more creative angles for the next few weeks. Don't you agree?

Sheamus defeated Alberto Del Rio in the main event of the night. I really enjoyed this match, the chemistry, and the timing of it. We have seen this match many times before, so it is hard to make it different. Sheamus and Del Rio went to the outside more than usual in this match, as Sheamus hit his head off the announcer's table. I was surprised that Del Rio got as much offense in as he did. Sheamus struggled quite a bit to get out of the gates and keep a solid pace of offense. Instead of super Sheamus, Del Rio hit a beautiful moonsault and got a few quick pinfall attempts. The end of the match saw Sheamus come back in a flurry, reversing a move from Del Rio, and locked in the Texas Cloverleaf. Big Show was on the ramp watching, came down to the ring, and closed his eyes to tempt Sheamus to kick him. Instead, he threw Ricardo Rodriguez into Big Show's crotch. This ended Smackdown, and was just alright for me. I do not like the fact that Del Rio has no feud and is being used to get other guys over. He does not have that huge appeal to the fans for us to continually care about him losing. This was a slow ending, and very anticlimatic. I still enjoy the feud, and think it will be able to carry over into 2013. After that, Big Show and Sheamus NEED to move on. Grade: C+
