Number 4: Randy Savage
It was one championship reign that lasted 414 days. “Macho Man” Randy Savage was everything you wanted out of an Intercontinental Champion. When Hulk Hogan was wrestling in matches that lasted 5 minutes, Savage would steal the show with 20 minute showings of excellence. His first IC Championship was captured only 8 months into his career in the WWE. His most memorable match, and one of the best matches of all time, would springboard him into the main event. Savage and Steamboat competed at Wrestlemania 3 and has been one of the greatest competitive bouts in history. He was consistent, charismatic, and important. This title was about pure wrestling, execution, and not about nostalgia.
