Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler
I don't actually remember why these two are going at it. Is it because Ziggler has better hair than Randy? Is it so WWE can get premium stock footage of RKO's, knowing that Ziggler sells better than porn? I doubt it, but fortunately for the WWE it really doesn't matter. Nobody is buying Night of Champions for this match; all they really need from it – in true Randy Orton fashion – is for them to show up, look good for fifteen minutes, and leave. Please don't take that to mean I'm against either of these guys. Ziggler and Orton continue to be some of my favorite performers in wrestling today. I'm simply saying this match, regardless of how technically solid it will be, doesn't matter in the long run.
And that's why Orton will win; it really doesn't matter. WWE needs their new "movie star" looking good. The angry people that down-vote me in our comments section (see: below) will cry out and use words they don't truly understand, like "job" and "buried". But Orton almost always wins in situations that don't really matter. Ask CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, etc etc. Don't cry Ziggler fans, it's going to be fine.
Prediction: Randy Orton wins. People get bent out of shape about it. In two weeks nobody remembers the match even happened.
WWE Divas Championship
Layla (c) vs. Kaitlyn
There are three important Divas in the WWE; none of them are the Champion or her #1 contender. Does it surprise you that the title picture doesn't actually revolve around the participants in it, but rather on the mood swings of everyone's favorite Hoski, Eve? There's no denying AJ Lee and Vickie Guerrero draw many times the crowd response that Layla or Kaitlyn do at this point in either woman's career. Lay just doesn't have the same potential without Michelle McCool and her "flawless" touch…
Prediction: Layla retains. Eve probably causes interference; possibly a DQ finish.
