It was not the Attitude Era in which King thrived behind the announcer’s table, it is his duration at being able to adapt in any situation. Jerry Lawler has had numerous partners, had changed his personality time and time again, and gives us that realistic point of view behind the microphone. If you do not appreciate his commentary at times, remember when Coach was behind the microphone. If that does not work, remember Booker T. That should say enough about how valuable he has been as a color commentator. With Cole and Ross, Lawler has been able to solidify such an important part of WWE Television for years.
