Number 4: The King and Bret Hart
Talk about a feud to get someone on the map. With Bret Hart’s surge in popularity, someone had to come along and stop the train from rolling. Lawler was that guy in 1993. With The King of the Ring won by Hart, Lawler took exception for someone else having that moniker. The feud was simple, but was extremely personal. Week after week, Lawler would bash the Hart family, and nobody was safe from his words or actions. When the WWE was lacking in overall star power and creative stories, these two made some great matches. We even got a “Kiss My Foot Match” two years later in 1995. To this day, both men still remember the great feud they had that will always be remembered, thanks to the success of each man’s career.
