Wrestlezone’s Top 10: Rise and Falls From 2011
9. Dolph Ziggler- Rise
Many will wonder why Ziggler is so low on the list. At this point a year ago, Ziggler was holding a solid spot in the mid card status as United States Champion. He would continue his success until losing it at TLC to Zack Ryder at the end of 2011. He was one of the “internet favorites” heading into the Royal Rumble, maybe as a surprise entrant, but not a realistic choice. Ziggler would continue his path of mediocrity through Wrestlemania until he was a last minute replacement for Alberto Del Rio at No Way Out. His big break came when he would win Money in the Bank. You can say he deserves it already, and I would not disagree with you. Dolph Ziggler has been a solid entertainer for quite some time, headlining Raw and Smackdowns against Orton, Cena, Sheamus, and many others. He is not quite there yet, but time will show you that he will be there for a very long time. Dolph Ziggler rose from an upper mid card talent, to the next World Heavyweight Champion.
