John Cena Wins Money in the Bank
What I Liked;
This match was really good considering who was involved. It was really smart to eliminate Big Show early, so the other guys would be able to carry most of the spots throughout. Kane is impressing me more and more with his ability to adapt to differing situations and carry a match with any man's size. John Cena hit a great AA onto Show through a table, something that was needed to happen. I loved the fact that Miz was not overshadowed by many people here, and quickly made himself relevant after a two month hiatus. The look he has makes him look more mature and ready to be back at the top. I expected some rust, but Jericho and Kane were able to help him along the way. We had a great chokeslam, Jericho was the most athletic with a ladder, and it felt like every guy knew their role in the match. Everyone expected Cena to win, and he did by "surprisingly" ripping the briefcase off the link while Big Show was battling him at the top. So, Big Show is not made to look really weak, but he still lost once again. The pace of the match was not fast, as it was more articulate and focused on psychology between multiple feuds. I loved when Jericho was hanging on the briefcase, as it gave me a reminder of Edge spearing Jeff Hardy at WM 17. With all of the pieces in the match, there were excellent spots with guys being body slammed onto the ladders. The match looked more painful to the body and did not rely on huge spots to get the crowd in awe. Booked smart from beginning to end, I was alright with it.
What I Disliked:
It was predictable and really had some weaknesses in it. There were too many of the same type of superstars in the match. Even though I was alright with Cena winning, Miz or Jericho would have been a smarter call. My underdog was Kane because of how good he has been, but I figured they would not let him win for a second time. His time as a champion has come and gone, and he knows he is going to be used appropriately. I just wonder if they got lazy and really did not put a ton of time into booking this match. The action was entertaining, but what else was there to do? It was solid, but not great. That is what the whole night seemed like.
