Hernandez def. Kid Kash
Well, I’m still not sure why this match was on the card, but I’ll never complain about a quick, well-executed filler match of this caliber. While Kash has always struck me as indie wrestling’s most over-rated son, Hernandez is a talent I feel is generally in the wrong place at the wrong time. A big dude with incredible speed and agility, who is generally solid in the ring? He could have been a big deal, but everyone on the roster is always just a little bit more important… Back to the matter at hand: hats off to both men. They did a good job, and that’s really all there is to say.

“You can’t wrestle…we wan’t Devon” … “We wan’t Devon…no we don’t!”
Those chants should pretty much tell you all you need to know about this matchup. I actually expected the fans to be completely dead throughout, but the Texas crowd really surprised me by actually caring during a few spots! Now the big question: does we care less about the Robbie’s, or the wombo-combo of D-Von and Garett Bischoff? Still, it’s cute that TNA is trying to make D-Von just as relevant a singles star as his tag team buddy Bully Ray…
Oh yeah, and the match was fine. I do have another question though: where did Madison Rayne go? I felt like the pulled the plug on that angle as it was happening!

3-Way Match for World Championship Contention
Ken Anderson def. RVD & Jeff Hardy
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so much action packed into a 10-minute match! You put three of TNA’s top faces in one ring and dangle the World Title in front of their faces, this is what I’d expect to happen. With so much history between the three of them, I was completely satisfied with how they worked. Too often there’s unnecessary drama in matches like this; these guys didn’t play the “friend” card or form alliances mid-match. They didn’t waste time or draw it out longer than it needed to be! Hardy kicked it off with an all-out assault, and they never slowed down until the final bell.
Anderson was the logical pick to win. He won’t beat Roode this Thursday night though…
