Number 8: Sting
When Hogan left the New World Order, he only had Sting to rely on. When in a fight where the NWO attacked, Hogan asked for Sting’s help. Sting turned his back on what he was all about for many years, and that was popularity with the fans. He turned his back on WCW and Hogan to join the faction and really showed that professional wrestling can give you twists and turns. He hit Hogan in the back with the bat, put him in the Scorpion Death Lock, and won the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. This was a great way to try and freshen up a story line that did not have much left in the tank. They did just that, and Sting was the last guy in the compnay that would make an impact if turned heel.
