Number 5: WrestleMania VII
Yes, the main event had a ton of heat with Slaughter and Hogan, but 13 more matches filled a card that was absolutely awful. Dino Bravo/Texas Tornado, British Bulldog/Warlord, Earthquake/Greg Valentine, Mountie/Tito Santana were the matches that did not deserve to be on the card and should have been removed immediately. Many will argue Slaughter was the best heel in years at this time, but he did not do it for me. Best match of the night was Ultimate Warrior vs. Randy Savage, which was fantastic from beginning to end. The bell to bell action, athleticism, and concentration on technicality was really refreshing to see on a card bottled down by useless matches. The Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena was located in a big city, but the building was not. Again, bad production value mixed with a complete train wreck of booking, makes this a very forgettable night. 3 out of 10.
