Number 10: WrestleMania XII
Hear me out before you post a comment about the main event of Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart, arguable the best WrestleMania match of all time. Take a look at this event and matches that led up to the Ironman Match. Vader, Owen Hart, and British Bulldog defeated Yokozuna, Jake Roberts, and Ahmed Johnson in a match that lacked athleticism and importance. Steve Austin vs. Savio Vega was 12 minutes of confusion for the crowd. We had Triple H get squashed by the Ultimate Warrior, which was awful to watch and a complete waste of time and talent. Undertaker vs. Diesel was forgettable, and the Parking Lot Brawl was entertaining. Out of 6 matches, 2 of them delivered on some level. The event overall was lackluster, did not provide important moments (except the obvious) and really lacked that “‘Grandest Stage of Them All Feeling.” The Ironman Match could only push this to a 4.5 star out of 10 in my rankings, below average. Anaheim did not get the greatest shows, but did get one spectacular match.
