*Billy said he wasn’t mad — not even a little bit — about the fact that he doesn’t have a job with WWE and Road Dogg does. He’s proud of Brian and says he’ll do great. He did say that he would like to go back at some point.
*There were some Goldust look-alikes in the audience (wigs, paint and all) and Billy had some fun with them. He joked that if he were still drinking, he might had gone home with one of them that night.
*Another “mark out” moment for the fans came when someone asked Billy Gunn what WWE could do to make the tag team division better. “That’s an easy one,” Billy responded, “put me and Brian back together”. The crowd seemed to agree. I do too.
After the Q&A sessions, Sean and Billy stuck around for a bit longer before heading out. By the end, it seriously felt like they were two regular people partying with other regular people. The place seemed packed, but not in an uncomfortable way, and it seemed even the general admission fans got the full experience.
I hear that Sean is planning his second annual WrestleMania event for this year in Miami. And yes, I was even told that Kevin Nash is “supposed” to be there. Billy, also. I have again been invited and I will again be going. I sincerely encourage you to do the same if you’re making the trip to Florida.
Conventions are great, but these parties are entirely different.
Part of the time is still allotted for select fans to get pictures and autographs with the superstars, but the rest of the time is filled with memorable moments, free shoot interviews, drinking, and lots of fun. You are around other like-minded people who share the same interests, so there’s never someone you can’t “talk wrasslin'” with and I believe you get a much more personal experience with the actual wrestlers involved.
All it was missing? A former Diva/Knockout or two in attendance. I’ve heard rumblings of one that is supposed to be at “Party Mania II” this year in Miami. I won’t give it away, but I believe her name rhymes with “Baria Fuh Nellis”.
Thanks to Billy and Sean for a great end to my Royal Rumble experience and I’ll see you in Miami. If you are interested in attending the Miami party this year, visit MyWrestlingParty.com for details or follow them on Twitter @WrestlingPartyz.
