Number 6: Young Blood Rising
For the first time in years, the WWE began to build towards the future. Instead of a typical Cena/Orton feud or established stars carrying the company, we had a glimpse of what the future holds. With the likes of HBK, Triple H, The Undertaker, and Kane out for a considerable amount of time or retired, guys like The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Zack Ryder, Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, Daniel Bryan, and more carried a lot of the great in ring action each week. One will argue, but Dolph Ziggler has exceeded every expectation I ever had from him. Go back and watch him vs. CM Punk. It is art, chemistry, and sheer brilliance in the ring. Cody Rhodes resurrected the Intercontinental Championship, even going back to the classic white title. Daniel Bryan won Money in the Bank and recently cashed in to become World Heavyweight Champion. Del Rio became World Champ, Rumble winner, and Money in the Bank in one year. Even guys like Alex Riley was relevant for a bit. all of these young guys are reasons to believe that the WWE will be better in years to come when the veterans are gone.
