Garrett Bischoff apologizes to Eric about not living up to his expectations. He also apologizes for not doing this earlier… and he beats the hell out of his dad. Flair and Gunner try to help him, but Garrett runs off.
Samoa Joe says he appreciates the title shot, but he will hurt someone if he does not get what he wants. Sting, listening, nods and lets him walk away. Eric Bischoff comes up to Sting and asks to get Garrett in the ring, and will let Sting rewrite his contract if he does.
Daniels talks backstage about how great he is. He also talks about deserving title shots, and was the man who walked out of the PPV and not Styles. RVD fights him backstage.
I really feel that having so much down time between matches hurts the overall progression of the show. They should space it all out, have a flow. For a half hour, no meaningful match, and the Knockouts match does not really count. Spread out these feuds, these segments to build separate stories.
Jesse Sorensen vs. Austin Aries
What I Liked:
Great pace of the match, with very solid in ring action. The chemistry between the two seemed flawless, and Aries controlling most of the match was perfect. I enjoyed the finish as well, not making Aries lose some steam, but also giving Sorensen some much needed momentum. It looks like he is next up in a feud with Aries which I am alright with. I loved the leaping elbow in this match that connected perfectly.
What I Disliked:
Nothing much, besides the fact that the match was too short. They needed to lengthen this out, give the fans a really good bell to bell match between two X Divison stars, especially when this is the first "match" of the night.
