WrestleZone Top Ten: TNA Debuts

Throughout the history of TNA, many wrestling fans have not been able to witness or experience some of the memorable moments. Whether it is an X Division match that exceeded expectations, the drastic title changes, or even the debuts of new stars, TNA has been able produce moments that should not be forgotten. This week, we look at the Top Ten TNA Debuts in their short history.

Number 10: Ric Flair: January 4, 2010

It was less than two years until Ric Flair was back on television. A live, head-to-head competition with Monday Night Raw gave TNA many options to grow and prosper. Flair was a huge name in a small pond to try and get the company quick and efficient exposure. When he was seen getting out of the limo and viewing the AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle match, everyone felt he could make an impact. I hated how he came to TNA after one of the best matches on the biggest stage of sports entertainment with Shawn Michaels which was supposed to be the last match of his career. I did like how, realized much later, that he would not be a waste of space and bury many younger talent. He immediately gave Styles more exposure, even though he did not really need it. Flair debuting gave some tradition, some big name marketing abilities, and also gave TNA a great wrestling mind.
