The Cashbox: First Edition of “The Pulse” Featuring Mick Foley

TOPIC #1: Former WWE and TNA star, Travis "Tyson" Tomko, was arrested last week for robbery.

Mick Foley: "Maybe getting caught will turn out to be the best thing for Travis. Hopefully, he'll realize he's got a big problem, and take the steps to take care of it. Hopefully, he'll take advantage of the rehab that WWE offers. He's a good guy, with the best part of his life in front of him."

TOPIC #2: Talk backstage is that John Morrison will not be re-signing with the WWE once his contract expires in the near future.  The feeling is that both Morrison and WWE have had enough working together and are ready to move on without each other.

Mick Foley: "You know, I remember being at Nassau Coliseum in 2001, talking with JR about how if I were to leave WWE amicably, we could probably work with each other in the future. John Morrison might be at that same point – where he might really benefit from taking some time off and trying out some different things. Really, John might be a great fight-scene actor or model."

TOPIC #3: Kurt Angle stated in a recent interview that he has three more years with TNA and then he's done.  During that time, he wants to see the company grow to the point that they're competing with WWE.

Mick Foley: "I really like Kurt, and think he's an amazing talent, but I just don't think that trying to make Impact competitive with WWE is a realistic goal. But I do think they have a valuable role to play in the business. Chick-Fil-A makes the best chicken sandwich in the business, and they are hugely successful and profitable – but there's no sense in them trying to out-McDonald McDonald's."
