Title This: WWE Monday Night Raw Reaction 10-17-2011

Zack Ryder vs. Jack Swagger/ What Happened:

A quick squash match, giving Ryder the win. He hit the Rough Ryder and, once again, gets a questionable win. He has not had a clean, concise, and dominating win. Hopefully this will continue to push Ryder, as his character is still loved and is still an entertaining personality.

What I Liked:

Ryder winning.

What I Disliked:

The length of the match was absolutely ridiculous. They need to give him more ring time, and he could easily have worked ten minutes with Swagger. Instead, they give Mason Ryan and Dolph Ziggler more time. Ryder needs to have a match where it really is meaningful in more than a victory. We need to see a progression of move set, timing, and confidence in his abilities. We still have yet to see a complete Ryder match, but not his fault because of the way they are booking him. It also made Swagger look very, very weak. Especially after a month of big time dominance on Air Boom, Swagger should have had more of a battle over a squash.

Mason Ryan vs. Dolph Ziggler/ What Happened:

Ziggler began to use his athleticism and intelligence to beat up Ryan. Ryan hits a few powerful moves, but is slapped by Vickie. Ryan does not stop the dominance, as he gets DQ'ed because of his excessive offensive forearm chops. He rips apart Ziggler after the match.

What I Liked:

The finish was good, because it gave Ziggler the win, but showed how much time they are going to invest on Ryan becoming an animal. Also, it did not make Ziggler look vulnerable, and it was focused more on Ryan and how much time he needs to grow and mature. His character has one characteristic, while Ziggler is multi faceted. The action was good, thanks to Ziggler for keeping the pacing up and at a respectable fashion. It was quick, solid, and made its point.

What I Disliked:

No mention of Air Boom, even though it was mentioned as a Tag Team Championship match between them and Ziggler/Swagger. I feel like they are not utilizing the feud, but more focusing on Ryan quickly becoming a force. Will Ryan face Del Rio, is that what they are trying to do, since Punk, Cena, Triple H are all going to be in a Survivor Series match? This may be something to look towards. It would be way too early, but what other options would they have? Will it be Morrison? Who do they have?
