Top Ten: WWE Superstar Debuts

Number 1: Chris Jericho August 9, 1999 WWE Monday

Chicago, Illinois. Countdown to the Millennium. With The Rock in the ring, the clock began to run out, months and months of speculation and curiosity made all of us wonder every Monday Night. Who? When? Why? We got an answer, and he was Chris Jericho. He was a popular but not a superstar in the WCW. He had a cult following which propelled his popularity. The promo packages were spectacular, the lights the music, and the atmosphere were perfect. There has never been a debut that meant more, that did more for one superstar than this one. Was this a shock at number one? The creation of Y2J was born. We have never been disappointed. Chris Jericho to the WWE in 1999 will go down as the best overall debut.

Chris Jericho Stats: 6 World Championships, 9 Intercontinental Championships, 1 European Championship, 1 Hardcore Championship, 7 Tag Team Championships, 2 Television Championships, 4 Cruiserweight Championships. WWE Triple Crown Champion (1 of 9 men overall) and Grand Slam Champion (1 of 4 men)
