This program has been bad from the beginning and it's not getting any better. The live crowd is never invested and it makes for uncomfortable segments on television.
Until this past Friday on Smackdown, we were getting the same crap with the two of them trying to convince the crowd that they were the "real" Sin Cara. It didn't work. Now, we have some sort of worked shoot element as one Sin Cara spoke and claimed that the other stole his gimmick once before as Mistico. Apparently, this Sunday at HIAC, we will find out who should have the right to be called Sin Cara.
"Shoots" work in wrestling sometimes, but all the stars need to align. The right pieces need to put together and the story being told needs to be told clearly. The right people need to be chosen to try and relay that message to the point the crowd can understand it and more importantly, care about it. Mistico and Hunico are not those people.
I never minded the idea of "good Sin Cara" vs "evil Sin Cara", but it needs to be kept simple. Give one a black outfit and make his intentions clear. Give him a mouthpiece even so "that" person can explain what's going on. Let bad Sin Cara injure the other and put him on the shelf for a couple of weeks so bad Sin Cara can work a few matches on his own and then have good Sin Cara come back to save the day. A few pay per view matches later, good Sin Cara prevails and rids the WWE of the horrible alternate.
