Title This: Impact Wrestling Reaction 9-15-2011

Backstage Segment Reviews:

Traci Brooks and Karen Jarrett argue and show their hatred for one another. Karen says she has cleaned up the Knockouts Division recently. She tells Traci to cover herself up, and sends her to get all the knockouts. Everyone comes back and Karen says the game with Mickie and Winter is finished. She assigns matches for the following weeks, as she sets up Mickie versus Brooke, Madison vs. Tara, and Angelina vs. Velvet will take place tonight. The winner gets to face Winter at Bound For Glory.

Reaction:

I like how Karen is such a polarizing figure because of her real life. It adds a small dimension of her power over the other Knockouts, and she is viewed as the Drama Queen of all of them. She does a good job garnering hatred from myself when I watch her, much to a lesser extent of Vickie Guerrero.

In Ring Segment:

AJ Styles and Fortune are in the ring and introduce their partner and BFG winner, Bobby Roode. Roode says he has what it takes to become the next World Champion. He goes on to say he is happy with his accomplishments, but it is not over yet. Daniels begins to talk about what he has done, including beating Styles, but he knows how hard it is to beat Bully Ray. Kazarian takes the microphone from Daniels and said the jokes are now over. Kazarian basically says he is happy for Roode, and is happy to call him a friend. James Storm begins to talk and says Bobby Roode, World Champion, has a nice ring to it. Storm talks about Beer Money and the success they have had. He says to Angle sorry about his damn luck.

Out comes Kurt Angle who congratulates Roode for winning, even with an injury. Angle thinks Fortune should be jealous because they all want to be main eventing against him at Bound For Glory. Angle goes on to say that everyone wants the belt that he holds. Angle says that Hogan and Bischoff are making Roode face every member of Fortune. Angle says if they lose, they are at the bottom of the ladder, but if they beat Roode, they will be next up to face Kurt after Bound For Glory. Kazarian is up first.

Reaction:

I really like this wrinkle into the storyline of Roode. He has to face guys who supposedly are on his side. It gives them a chance to get to the top by beating up on a friend. This is interesting because Roode and Angle have to be separate for a few weeks, but still be tangled together. While some of these guys are bland on the microphone, the overall picture was set and gives the fans a nice reason to watch each week. It builds up Roode as a singles star quicker than expected, but also tries to show dissension between him and his stable. This segment gets a B+
