CM Punk vs. The Undertaker – Submission Match for the World Heavyweight Championship

Last week’s article was dedicated to the clusterf*** that this match is.  I was incorrect in saying that the Undertaker has never tapped out…he technically tapped to Kurt Angle, but didn’t lose the match.  I should have said that the Undertaker has never lost by submission.  Which he hasn’t.  For the sake of credibility and simply what’s right, I think CM Punk has to go over here.

The match would show Punk repeatedly trying to out-maneuver the Dead Man and attempting to use as much of his Judo and Muy Thai background as possible.  The finish to the match would show the Undertaker caught in a hangman with his head stuck in the ropes.  Punk would realize the opportunity and lock in the Anaconda vice on the Undertaker.  Eventually the Phenom would pass out not from Punk’s hold, but from having his air supply cut off by the ropes.  Punk would win due to referee stoppage.

Of course I know that this is probably not how it’s going to go down.  I’m almost certain that the Undertaker will pick up the clean victory over Punk, and I’m certain that both Rhodes and DiBiase will submit at the same time.

Sorry for the late column everyone, it’s been a hellacious week here.  I turned a year older.  Some friends of mine are getting a bit marrieder.  And I’m on my way to Oakland to watch the Raiders get just a bit more hopelesser.
