Degeneration X vs. Legacy in a Submissions Count Anywhere Match
Submission matches are a contest of who is simply the better wrestler. Like them or not, Triple H and HBK are two of the absolute best in the business today. It may be incredibly competitive, but there is no logical reason that Legacy should win. If WWE is smart, they’ll use it to sow the seeds of DiBiase’s eventual face turn.
The finish comes when HBK is struggling with Rhodes and Triple H manages to catch DiBiase in the Crossface somewhere either in the parking lot or backstage. HBK will hit Rhodes with Sweet Chin Music and proceed to put a leg submission hold onto DiBiase, who has so far held out. Rhodes makes it to his feet after about a minute, but doesn’t help DiBiase who finally gives up the ghost and is forced to tap out.
Winner – Degeneration X
The aftermath would show DiBiase angry with Rhodes who continues with the concept of looking out for his career. "Those that fight and run away, live to fight another day…for Championships."
