Speaking Of Booker T Quitting TNA…
Apparently, Booker has had quite a bit of negative things to say about TNA (go figure!) and the reason he decided to leave. A source even told WZ that he feels his time with them has or may have tarnished his wrestling legacy. While I think that idea is a bit of a stretch, it certainly left a lot to be desired. Oh, alright…is was pretty damn bad.
Hell, it hurts to say that I miss Booker T being in the middle of the WCW ring, Bash at the Beach 2000, smack-dab in the middle of one of the most controversial events in wrestling history. He may not have been the company’s big star at the time that fans wanted to see win the WCW World Heavyweight Title, but he won it anyway. And it was the first time he had!
Regardless of whether Booker T’s legacy was injured a lot or at all as a result of working for the mess that is TNA, I hope he gets another shot with WWE. He still has some gas left in his tank and when given the right direction creatively, he’s one of the funniest and most entertaining characters on wrestling television.
