Best Feud Of 2009: Randy Orton vs Kofi Kingston

This was an extremely though decision. I was torn between Hardy/Punk, Styles/Daniels and of course my choice, Orton/Kingston. As far as Hardy vs Punk is concerned, I think the main reason why I did not choose the feud is because even though it did solidify CM Punk as a main event level player, it never gave him the full credibility that he needed to be completely accepted as a champion. He was made a paper champion following his title win against Hardy, and the seeds for that were planted during his feud with Hardy. In the case of Styles vs Daniels, I just don’t think the feud progressed enough and included Samoa Joe at one point so I don’t think beats out Orton vs Kingston. 2009 saw the breakout of Kofi Kingston in a great feud against Randy Orton, and most importantly, the feud was handled perfectly from beginning to end. It’s a little unclear at this point whether the feud is actually over, but even if it is it did it’s job. It made a new star that has a bright future ahead of him in 2010.
