#3.) Samoa Joe vs CM Punk – ROH 2004
In 2004 a small independent promotion by the name Ring Of Honor was making waves, having the best matches in the world of pro wrestling. Among the best at the time were none other than ROH World Champion Samoa Joe and CM Punk. That year, the two would have a trilogy of matches with the first going to a 60-minute time limit draw.
The second match, however, proved to be something else altogether. The two would have what many consider one of the greatest matches of the century so far. The story was simple. It was just about two top competitors determined to be better than the other.
It translated in a beautiful way in the ring and though this match would end in a 60-minute time-limit draw as well, the only way to describe the match is wrestling poetry. It took one more attempt for Samoa Joe to finally prove that he was the better man at the time.
