It’s not every day that you get to see a match that feels like a war. Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles felt like an all-out war. With the X-Division title on the line, the TNA alumni put on one of the best singles matches in the company’s history and one filled with unforgettable moments.
No shenanigans were required in the battle between Mr TNA and The Samoan Submission Machine. After 18 minutes, Samoa Joe would choke out AJ Styles to become X-Division Champion in a clean finish. He did assault Styles after the match, however, which prompted Christopher Daniels to force his hand in the matter and save Styles.
