#5.) Less is more
The immediate difference between SmackDown Live and RAW was seen after the brand split. SmackDown had one hour less, a smaller roster and generally, the storylines as a whole were a lot simpler. It was clear that SmackDown was taking a very minimalistic and simple approach for virtually everything and from a creative aspect, it translated beautifully on screen.
RAW, on the other hand, had a “more is more” approach and everything was overdone and talent was constantly overexposed. While that isn’t the talents’ fault in itself, it became clear that the “less is more” approach worked well for the blue brand.
